  • Confidentiality is central to therapy. Your personal information and the content of your sessions remain private except under specific legal and ethical circumstances.

  • Your therapist may need to disclose information if:

    • There is suspicion of child, elder, or dependent adult abuse.

    • You express intent to harm yourself or another person.

    • A court orders the release of records.

    • You provide written authorization for disclosure.

    • All telehealth sessions are conducted through SimplePractice, a HIPAA-compliant platform.

    • Please choose a private and secure environment for your sessions.

    • Email and text are for scheduling and logistics only.

    • They are not secure for therapeutic discussion or emergencies.
